Bruce, Kelly, Shane, Connor and my dearest Morgan: So many memories of the neighborhood and Megan’s way of embracing all the kids from the little ones to those her age. Never did she treat the kids like they annoyed her. She taught all the kids a dance routine to Brittney Spears and we parents got an invitation in our mailboxes to watch the routine in front of the Johnsons home. Of course we loved it! Megan was so good to Maddy. Maddy was in elementary school and Megan wanted Maddy to take diving lessons. The morning Megan came to pick her up, Maddy stayed in bed and our babysitter told Megan that Maddy changed her mind. Megan went up and crawled into bed with her and Maddy admitted that she was afraid. With Megan’s gentle approach and her way of building trust with kids, she convinced Maddy to go. It is because of her that Maddy ended up diving competitively throughout high school and college. Megan’s basketball number was number 3 and that’s the number maddy wore throughout her career in softball. Megan had a kind heart and was a gentile soul and I’m sure she touched many lives. I thank God that Megan touched ours.
